StoryBook Players Cinderella - 7 weeks
StoryBook Players encourages children to invent and act out their own characters and dramatic stories through drama, art and music. Cinderella will be explored through art, songs and theater games that encourage imaginations and help develop interpersonal and communication skills. Limited to 10 students. Must be toilet trained.

Audition Basics-
This workshop is for the young actor who wants to audition for a show, but doesn't know where to begin. Students will learn how to find an age-appropriate monologue and song, have the opportunity to ask questions, work a memorized monologue (if prepared), and go through a mock audition. Students will leave with an audition packet full of important material including basic tips, resume examples, and monologue and song suggestions - a great resource for all future auditions. Parents, please stay for the first 30 minutes of the class.(limited to 16)

Studio East Quarterly Class Registration Details

Registration
Payment is required and held at the time of registration. When classes have reached minimum enrollment you will be notified and your payment will be processed. A receipt and detailed class letter will be mailed or emailed to you.

Cancellations
We will notify you if a class has been cancelled. Studio East reserves the right to alter or cancel any classes that do not meet minimum enrollment. A full refund will be issued for cancelled classes.

Financial Aid
Studio East encourages all interested students to study theater and realizes that not everyone can afford classes. Limited scholarships are available for all classes. For a Financial Aid application call (425) 827-3123.

Studio East Quarterly Class Policies

Quarterly Class Withdrawal and Refund Policy
A full refund, less a $25 nonrefundable deposit, will be issued prior to the 1st class. After the 1st class, a prorated refund will be issued if the class still maintains its minimum enrollment. If the class falls below minimum enrollment, there is no refund, although the remaining balance, less the deposit, may be applied to another class. No refund will be issued after the 2nd class.

Emergency Form
Students cannot participate without returning a fully completed and signed emergency form to the Studio on or before the first day of class. Parents please note that it is imperative that you inform us of any physical, emotional or behavioral challenges your child may have. This information will make our class instruction more effective and your child's experience more rewarding. We would be happy to email an attachment of the emergency form to you, which will enable you to keep it filled out on your computer and ready to print. Email your request to shannonrubin@studio-east.org to receive an attachment of the emergency form.

Code of Conduct
We at Studio East value each and every individual. In order to create an environment where each student has the freedom to grow, both as a performer and as an individual, Studio East does not tolerate the following:

  • Fighting with another student, faculty, volunteer or parent
  • Destruction or theft of Studio East property or materials
  • Disrespect towards oneself or others
  • Use of inappropriate language and/or innuendo
  • Racial or sexual harassment (including inappropriate physical contact)
Sign In/Sign Out
Our youngest students, through 2nd grade, must be signed in and out at the beginning and end of class by a parent or guardian. Please ensure you have enough time to walk your student to and from his/her classroom each day.

Pick Up/Drop Off
We hope that all of our students will be in class promptly each day. Please let us know if you will need to pick up your student before class ends. Just as younger children must be walked to and from their classroom for their safety, older children must wait for their rides inside the Studio East building, so please come inside when you pick up your student.

Absence and Illness
Please alert the Studio if your student will be absent by calling 425-827-3123. If your child is ill, contagious and/or running a fever, please DO NOT bring him/her to class. Studio East cannot dispense medication to your child.
