Frankie Rentas

Frankie Rentas is the Box Office Manager at Studio East, where he began working as a summer camp director in 2008's production of Snow White in the Black Forest. Since then, he has had the opportunity to direct Alice in Wonderland, and assist Lani in directing Little Shop of Horrors.

Frankie moved to Seattle from Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he received a BA in Theatre Arts and English from New Mexico State University, with an emphasis on acting and creative writing. While in the southwest, Frankie achieved acting awards in college and produced a play that he wrote with the Las Cruces fringe theater scene. His favorite theatrical projects include The Laramie Project, What the Butler Saw, and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Frankie sparked his own interest in teaching during college at a dance studio for children called CityDance, where he introduced the organization to its first acting class, which has thrived since. From there, he received his teaching license in Texas after graduating college and taught middle school Theater Arts in the El Paso area for two years before deciding to move to Seattle to explore its theater scene.

Frankie's hobbies include writing, singing, acting, picking up a good book, traveling to new places, and seeking out great films (and food!). He feels grateful to have found Studio East, where he can continue to combine all of his interests within the performing arts in a place where young people can grow, learn, and make endless discoveries about themselves and the world around them through the powerful medium of drama.
