Lori Surrency
Lori Surrency is a transplant from the sunny state of Florida, where she worked extensively as both an accompanist and a musical director. She is proficient in many musical genres, including classical, Broadway, jazz, rock/pop and country. While in Florida, Lori was principle accompanist for many choral groups including Crescendo, the Tampa Bay Women's Chorus and the Tampa Bay Men's Chorus.
Her work as a musical director includes the Tampa Bay Men's Chorus small ensemble and numerous professional musical theatre productions in the greater Tampa Bay area including Man of La Mancha, Pippin, Godspell, The Rocky Horror Show, The Gift of the Magi, The Music Man, and The Fantasticks.
In addition to be being a talented pianist and musical director, Lori is also a composer and an arranger. She is currently a student in the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program where she is studying with Emmy award winning film composer, Hummie Mann. She made her national debut as a choral arranger last summer with a showcase of her arrangements of the songs of Cris Williamson.
