Little Players
One-Week Summer Theater Camps
(ages 4 - 6)

Little Players camps, taught by professional theater instructors, are designed to inspire creativity and confidence in children 4 to 6 years old. Campers will have fun as they alternate between small and large group activities focused on drama, art, music and movement. Instructors introduce basic theater terms and skills while encouraging teamwork and self-expression. Lunch time, free play and story time are integrated with theatrical exploration. On the last day of camp, excitement is high as the Little Players showcase their fantastic work in a presentation for their families. (Details)

TaleSpinners
One-Week Summer Theater Camps
(for students entering grades 1 - 2 in the fall)

TaleSpinners camps are perfect and popular for 1st and 2nd graders who love creating stories. Experienced, professional theater instructors work with students to create characters and weave their stories into a play based on a weekly theme. Students participate in large and small group work as they create the plot, dialogue, props, and costume pieces for their very own play, while learning stage etiquette and terminology. Snack break, lunch time and free play give students a chance to interact with their peers and build teamwork skills outside of the theatrical conventions of playwriting and rehearsal time. Each camp has a unique combination of students and their ideas, and therefore the process and product are always new and fresh. On the last day of camp, families are invited to watch the spectacular storytelling and stagecraft! (Details)

SummerStage

Summer Stage camps are designed to provide a gateway tothe art and craft of theater. Guided by professional theater instructors, students are immersed in many aspects of theater – auditions (without the worry, since everyone gets a part), learning lines and music, rehearsing blocking and choreography, working together as a team and having a blast! Theater is a team sport, and participating in a musical theater production gives each actor a chance to play an important role. In addition to rehearsing the show, campers learn important theater skills and terms through focused workshops and theater games. Camps conclude with performances for family and friends on the final Friday.

Playmakers

(for students entering grades 3 - 6 in the fall)

Playmakers camps are designed by professional theater instructors for 3rd to 6th graders who want to create their own characters and stories. Through writing and storytelling, students are encouraged to problem-solve and work as a team to integrate their ideas into a play. The young performers create the plot, dialogue, props, and costume pieces for their very own play, all the while learning stage etiquette and terminology. Music and dance may find their way into these creations as well, depending on the interests and skills of the campers, and theater games are utilized to further skill development and teamwork. On the last day of camp, families are invited to watch the Playmakers perform theatrical magic!

TeenCamps
Two-Week Teen Camps
(for students entering grades 7 - 10 in the fall)

Teen Camps give older students a chance to develop acting skills and get great stage time! Each show is an ensemble piece with great roles for everyone. In addition to rehearsal, students explore, define and develop their acting skills through focused workshops in a variety of topics such as improvisation, dance and musical theater. YAPI
Six-Week Intensive Training Program
(ages 13 - 19)

Young Actors Professional Intensive (YAPI) Now in its 20th year, YAPI is a summer full of theater classes, intense learning and a lot of fun. Students spend six weeks immersed in college-level theater classes including Audition Technique, Acting for the Camera, Scene Study, Shakespeare, Combat, Improvisation, Musical Theater, The Business and more. Faculty is made up of professional educators and artists. A showcase is presented for an invited audience on the final weekend. SPACE IS LIMITED.
